Summer, Glorious summer!


Summer is offers one taste surprise after another!
Tomatoes, Green beans, Zucchini, Egg Plants, Strawberries, Basil, lettuce, Swiss Chard

Apricots, Santa Rosa Plums, Valencia Oranges, Lemons...

Our good friend the Pacific Ocean gives us summer on shore breezes that make nice  temperate conditions - Days into the low 80s and nights that drop to 65F.

In our town of Niles, we have a community "internet group send" - it is moderated to control content, it is generally not a site for selling things, for for trading information, to give things away, and to ask community based questions.

 This year our Apricot crop was not great ( the funny weather this year ) and she inquired if anyone had more apricots than they could use.   Our wonderful Niles neighbors suggested a tree that was not being picked - and it was loaded...
